Tips for Chinese Chicken Salad
- Chicken: I like to grab a rotisserie chicken at Costco. You’ll get about 3 cups if you use the breasts and thighs.
- Cabbage: I slice the cabbage just with a knife, but you could use a mandoline if you want to. You can also buy a bag of coleslaw and really simplify things!
- Dressing: If you want to spice things up, add a half teaspoon of sriracha or if you want it more sweet, double the amount of sugar.
- Cashews: Feel free to use whatever nuts you want. Slivered almonds are awesome in this!
Can You Make Chinese Chicken Salad Ahead of Time?
You can make the salad dressing up to 8 hours before you plan to serve it. You can also chop up all the ingredients and store them in ziploc bags until you’re ready to eat. Combine everything and stir to combine.
It’s sweet and salty, crunchy and juicy, with a delicious sesame dressing, and it can be eaten as a main dish, side dish, lunch or snack. I love love love this wonton Chinese chicken salad!
